Friends, Will You Join Me?

As we continue to see the refugee crisis escalates in Ukraine and its borders, it is truly saddening to know how lives have been impacted overnight, and yet encouraging to see the compassionate side of humanity as communities rally together to serve those in need.

The ongoing crisis puts me in a more pensive mode – as I remember my aunt and cousin having to flee from Indonesia to Singapore in the middle of the night because of the riots in 1998, and also the fact that I receive regular updates from my IJM colleagues in Romania who are working tirelessly to serve the refugees they are able to support, in addition to the protection work against cross-border human trafficking in Eastern Europe which they have been tackling for the past 2 years.

Henceforth, I thought it’s timely to organize a birthday fundraiser this week, in view of all that’s happening and I hope you can donate generously, if you are willing and able! Knowing you are coming alongside me in my mission with IJM is one of the greatest gifts.

All funds raised will be earmarked against Most Urgent Needs which will allow our teams to show up and respond daily to the needs of those who are suffering and in oppression.
